PACT is recruiting new committee members!
PACT is continuing to evolve and we are recruiting new committee members for the period 2025-2028! We have several exciting committee positions available and welcome applicants from all primary care roles and levels of experience to apply. Brief descriptions of each available position are shown below (click on the ‘plus’ icon to read the description):

Act as a figurehead for PACT, and promote and represent PACT to external stakeholders
Chair Core Committee meetings, AGM, EGM, and Senior Advisory Group meetings
Pursue funding to support ongoing/future activities

Support the Chair in their activities, and fill in for the Chair as required
Develop and maintain the PACT Constitution and other essential documents
Support Core Committee members and resolve any disputes between PACT members relating to PACT activities

Manage PACT finances, and present financial report to the Chair and at AGM
Horizon scan for funding opportunities, and support Chair in pursuing further funding

Develop and regularly update PACT communications strategy
Manage PACT website and social media accounts
Assist Core Committee and project steering groups with communiques and promotional materials

Co-ordinate and manage PACT project selection process
Work with Project Lead Investigator(s) on all PACT projects to deliver PACT-affiliated projects

Ideally a student or recent graduate from a relevant clinical degree who is keen to advocate for widening access to research in primary care
Provide input from a ‘new to research’ perspective and direct how PACT can better engage with students and primary care team members from all disciplines/backgrounds
Promote PACT and encourage recruitment from the ‘new to research’ community nationally

Support all PACT Core Committee activities
Promote PACT to potential future members, who could be any member of the primary care team[1]
Fill other Core Committee roles/responsibilities if required
[1] This includes (but is not limited to): Medical students, Foundation doctors, Clinical fellows, GP trainees, Salaried GPs, Locum GPs, GP Partners, Non-clinical researchers, Nurses, Pharmacists, Physician Associates, Paramedics, Physiotherapists, and other members of the primary care team.
